Utkrishta Shiksha Abhiyaan: Instilling Values Beyond the Classroom

Avaada Foundation has launched the *Utkrishta Shiksha Abhiyaan* initiative to impart moral and social values to students in schools across Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, and Raibareli, Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. During the *Education Week*, the program was implemented in 20 schools, impacting over 6500 students.

The program focuses on teaching students beyond traditional textbooks through motivational sessions and activities, enhanced by projector slides. It was rolled out in ten schools in Rishikesh, where more than 4000 students participated. The core aim of this initiative is to instill Indian traditions, values, and culture in young minds, ensuring they carry these principles into their daily lives.

The students were deeply engaged during the sessions led by Dr. Arun Bhardwaj, whose charismatic delivery, combining modern research with ancient wisdom, created an emotional connection. Students shared their challenges, anxieties, and questions about their future, sparking thoughtful exchanges and moments of reflection.

The program also included motivational sessions by Director Ritu Patwari in government schools in Mathura and Nagepur, Varanasi. These sessions, along with workshops in 13 schools across Rishikesh and Mathura, brought teachers and students together, fostering a new, values-based approach to education.

In total, more than 7000 students and teachers attended the program, marking a successful first wave in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. This initiative continues to inspire young minds, shaping the future with a blend of tradition, values, and education.
