“May all be happy. May all be free from illness. May all experience what is auspicious. May none suffer.”
At Avaada, we have always believed in one simple principle: people before profit. This is the operating philosophy behind every school we build, every livelihood we support, and every community we walk alongside. True progress is measured not by the megawatts we generate, but by the lives we empower. It is this belief that shapes everything Avaada Foundation does, as we work to build the social infrastructure for a stronger, more inclusive, and self-reliant India.
FY 2025–26 has been a year of meaningful expansion and deeper impact. Through our interventions across nearly 20 states, we have now touched over 10 lakh lives cumulatively, advancing our commitment to ensure that development reaches the last mile. Our work today spans the entire lifecycle of community development, from enabling a child to access quality education, supporting health and nutrition, empowering women through skills and livelihoods, strengthening rural infrastructure, promoting environmental stewardship, and providing access to clean energy solutions.
Under our Village Adoption Programme, we are creating integrated models of rural transformation where education, healthcare, livelihoods, water, sanitation, environment, and energy are addressed together rather than in isolation. Across our network of Community Development Centres, Digital and AI based learning initiatives, scholarship programmes, school transformation projects, mobility support through bicycles and buses, healthcare interventions, women’s empowerment programmes, and environment conservation, we are building pathways for long-term self-reliance and climate resilience.
Our commitment extends well beyond statutory CSR. With our vision of holistic development, one that nurtures human potential while strengthening the social, environmental, and cultural fabric of the nation. From supporting aspiring women cricketers in rural Rajasthan and providing scholarships to deserving students, to advancing research and innovation, promoting river conservation, preserving India’s rich cultural heritage, and extending support to vulnerable communities through philanthropic initiatives, we remain guided by a simple belief: meaningful progress is achieved when opportunity, dignity, and hope reach every corner of society.
As India progresses towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, philanthropy must evolve from aid to institution-building, from isolated interventions to ecosystem creation. Avaada Foundation seeks to be a catalyst in this journey, creating empowered villages, confident youth, healthier families, resilient livelihoods, and sustainable communities that become the foundation of a New India.
The journey ahead is ambitious, but so is our resolve. Together with our communities, partners, employees, and well-wishers, we will continue transforming promises into opportunity and opportunity into lasting prosperity.
Sindoor Mittal is the Vice Chairperson of Avaada Group, one of India’s foremost clean energy and energy transition companies. A dynamic leader at the forefront of India’s Net Zero ambition, she drives the Group’s strategy, investor relations, and organizational transformation, with a strong focus on building agile, future-ready teams.
A graduate of the Indian School of Business (ISB-Hyderabad) and Stanford Graduate School of Business, Sindoor blends global insight with grounded execution. Her leadership has been instrumental in securing investments from marquee global institutions including Brookfield Renewable, Asian Development Bank, Proparco, and Thailand’s PTT Group — affirming Avaada’s position as a trusted partner in global climate solutions.
Before co-founding Avaada, Sindoor led the solar vertical at Welspun Energy, where she oversaw the development and eventual exit of a ~1140 MW portfolio in a landmark transaction with Tata Power — one of India’s largest renewable energy deals at the time.
Sindoor is equally passionate about social impact. Through the Avaada Foundation, she champions initiatives in girls’ education, community upliftment, and inclusive development — believing that true progress must empower both people and the planet.
Beyond the boardroom, Sindoor is a national-level pickleball champion, representing India on international platforms, and is deeply invested in wellness, longevity, and peak performance.
At her core, Sindoor believes in purpose-driven leadership. For her, Avaada is not just an energy company — it is a catalyst for change, where sustainability, digital innovation, and human progress come together to shape a better, greener future.
At Avaada Foundation, we believe that meaningful change is created when development is approached holistically and communities are empowered to shape their own futures. Guided by this belief, we are working across education, empowerment, environment, health, and rural electrification to build resilient communities and create pathways for sustainable growth.
Over the years, our footprint has been steadily expanding, and today our interventions are reaching communities across 18 States and 2 Union Territories, with a cumulative outreach of over 4.15 lakh lives. Through every initiative, we are focusing on creating long-term impact rather than short-term solutions, ensuring that development reaches those who need it the most.
This year, our education initiatives are strengthening government schools through infrastructure development, digital and AI-enabled learning, scholarships, school transformation programmes, mobility support through bicycles and buses, sports development initiatives, and academic assistance. The inspiring journey of the girls’ cricket team from Badnu, Rajasthan, is reminding us of what becomes possible when talent is supported with the right resources and encouragement. Across our programmes, we are helping transform learning experiences for thousands of students while creating pathways for academic and sporting excellence.
Across our empowerment initiatives, Community Development Centres are serving as hubs of opportunity, having impacted over 9,200 beneficiaries through digital literacy, vocational training, livelihood enhancement, entrepreneurship, and community participation. Simultaneously, we are supporting women, youth, farmers, and vulnerable groups through targeted interventions designed to strengthen self-reliance and economic resilience.
Our commitment to environmental stewardship is being strengthened through plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, river conservation awareness, waste management initiatives, and community-led environmental action. During the year, we have supported the plantation of over 9950 saplings and engaged hundreds of community members in environmental initiatives. In health, we are expanding access through medical camps, nutrition support, ambulance services, blood donation drives, eye-care interventions, and public health programmes, collectively reaching over 24,000 individuals. Through rural electrification efforts, we are bringing clean energy solutions closer to underserved communities and have facilitated access to clean energy for over 1.6 lakh beneficiaries, reinforcing our belief that energy access can be a catalyst for development. Equally important is the strength of our partnerships. We are actively collaborating with government institutions, civil society organisations, community leaders, and development partners to deepen our impact and reach. Together, we are creating ecosystems that support learning, livelihoods, health, sustainability, and social inclusion.
As we look ahead, we are remaining committed to scaling impact, fostering innovation, and strengthening community ownership. Every programme, partnership, and intervention is contributing to a larger purpose—building empowered communities that are confident, resilient, and prepared to lead the journey towards a more inclusive and sustainable India.
