Marathon for a Cause

The recent marathon in Rishikesh and Mumbai, a collaborative effort by the Avaada Foundation, Vivekananda Youth Connect, and Namami Gange, marked its second successful year with approximately 500 participants. Beyond being a test of endurance, it emerged as a significant movement for environmental awareness, specifically focusing on the preservation of the sacred Ganga river.

Marathons, such as this one, serve a dual purpose by promoting physical health and acting as potent platforms for social and environmental causes. This event brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, all united by their shared concern for the wellbeing of the river.

The Avaada Foundation’s collaboration with Vivekananda Youth Connect played a crucial role in amplifying the message of conservation. Their combined efforts underscored the urgent need to protect our natural resources, resonating deeply with the community.

Notably, a similar marathon was organized in Mumbai in collaboration with the same organizations. Approximately 10 enthusiastic Avaada team members actively participated, furthering the message of awareness to action in pursuit of sustainable development goals.

In conclusion, these marathons transcend mere sporting events; they serve as a clarion call for environmental stewardship, showcasing the impactful synergy between sports and social causes in driving meaningful change.
