Environment is one of the core focus areas of the Foundation, and sustainable tree plantation remains a key pillar of our environmental stewardship. Nearly 1.8 lakh trees have been planted across locations in the country, contributing to soil conservation, carbon sequestration, and biodiversity enhancement.
At project sites, green belts are being developed using carefully selected native species such as flowering trees, medicinal plants, herbs, and shrubs that do not interfere with solar infrastructure. To enhance ecological impact, the Miyawaki method is adopted for planting native species, enabling faster growth and dense green cover. Eco-friendly practices are followed by avoiding pesticides and ensuring higher sapling survival rates. Employee and community participation is encouraged through initiatives such as Avaada Harit Yogdaan, the Own a Tree Initiative, and community plantation drives.
