In a powerful initiative to address drinking water scarcity, Avaada Foundation installed two high-capacity water storage tanks—8,000 liters and 15,000 liters—in a Dalit community, and constructed water stations with multiple taps in Beed district of Maharashtra. Strategically placed at a central gathering point, these tanks now provide reliable access to clean drinking water for over 10,000 residents.
One more water station with a capacity of 2,000 litres water storage is also constructed by Avaada Foundation in Chichlik, Sonbhadra.
What once was a daily struggle for basic needs has now turned into a life of security and dignity, freeing families from the uncertainties of water shortages and allowing them to focus on education, livelihoods, and health.
Revolutionizing Sanitation in Education
Avaada Foundation’s commitment to building a healthier future extends to the next generation. In ten schools across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, comprehensive infrastructure overhauls were undertaken. These included the installation of safe potable water systems and the construction of gender-segregated toilets.
The impact has been profound: over 5,000 students now learn in an environment that supports their dignity and well-being. Importantly, there has been a remarkable rise in girl-child attendance, breaking long-standing barriers associated with menstrual hygiene and helping young girls pursue their dreams without interruption.
