Inspiring Transformation of Schools in Mathura by Avaada Foundation
Avaada Foundation, the ambitious venture headed by Mr Vineet Mittal, aims to support the government to solve various development challenges hindering India’s growth. One such challenge is education. At the Foundation, we understand that a large population of India is deprived of quality education. The government of India is trying hard to provide education to all children, but still, much is required to be done. We understand our duty towards our nation and, hence, make some efforts to contribute to society. With a transformational vision, the Foundation has transformed itself into one of the most promising philanthropic organisations and pledged to improve the quality of people’s life. To achieve its aim, recently, it has adopted and renovated five state schools in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. In this blog, let us know the details of the great achievement that has made the Avaada Foundation proud.
Renovation of schools by Avaada Foundation
The Avaada Foundation, which runs the Utkrishta Shiksha Abhiyaan across India, has adopted five government schools in Mathura with the goal to transform them into role models. This endeavour of the foundation aims to bring a positive change in the lives of the students of Mathura by providing quality and enriching education. The Foundation hopes that through this initiative, better educational opportunities will be available to the students, which will help them become successful professionally and personally.
Due to the importance of education as a catalyst for social and economic change, the Foundation undertook these projects to create the best learning environment possible. These five schools in Mathura lacked basic infrastructure and quality education. Avaada Foundation took the responsibility to reconstruct these schools and equip them with the finest infrastructure. In its first phase, it has completed the renovation of the Government Higher Secondary School, Lohvan, and Primary School, Dhanapur.
The foundation has carried out major repair work on these school structures, such as repairing and whitewashing the classrooms and other building areas. It has constructed separate washroom areas for girls and boys. It has repaired its drainage system and playground. It has constructed a proper library, smart classes and computer rooms for the students to get the best education. A large smart TV is installed in the building to benefit both students and teachers. The schools are also being equipped to provide specially curated computer education for government school students. Here, students are given computer education throughout the year, even during summer vacations, by our teacher. It has also provided these schools with the required furniture and other educational supplies. For the uninterrupted electricity supply, solar panels have been installed on their premises. The foundation has made arrangements for clean drinking water and also installed rainwater harvesting systems to tap rainwater. The plantation was also carried out on the premises.
Celebrating the Proud Moment
To celebrate the proud moment, the inauguration program was held on the school premises of Lohvan School. It started with the felicitation of the honoured chief guest Shri Shekhar Dutt, the former Governor of Chhattisgarh by the trustee of the Avaada Foundation. It was followed by a cultural program where students mesmerized the audience with brilliant music and dance performances. The cultural activity was followed by speeches given by different speakers, including the chief guest and the Avaada Foundation trustee. The speakers appreciated and thanked Avaada Foundation for its inspiring efforts. On the occasion, the trustee of the foundation, Ms. Ritu Patwari said, Mr. Vineet Mittal, the chairman of the foundation, thinks that the nation’s youth are its future. He also prioritises influencing these youth’s futures as a responsible industrialist. According to him, the schools in our nation continue to be without basic necessities. Thus, through our successful education campaign programme, we will not only build schools but also make sure that students’ social, spiritual, moral, and cultural growth and education are improved.
What’s next…
After the successful renovation of Lohvan and Dhanapur schools in Mathura, Avaada Foundation is dedicated to providing quality education in these schools. To fulfil this purpose, a special teaching methodology called the ‘Mind Opening Technique’ has been developed on the basis of in-depth study and research through which the students will be taught using sports and games. Various types of blocks, cards, games etc. have been made for the purpose.
For this process, the Foundation has created blue, green, brown and black galleries in all classrooms of the school, with shapes and numbers related to Maths, English, Hindi and Science. This will help children to learn and read effectively. Teachers are given training to adopt this new teaching method.
For the physical, mental, and spiritual development of the students, efforts are being made to promote Indian values, culture, and nationalism through various activities and blocks. For this purpose, the walls of the school are inscribed with aphorisms taken from ancient spiritual texts.
Besides, the foundation has also started the renovation of the third school in Mathura. Thus, with these steps, Avaada Foundation will be revolutionizing education in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
