Nurturing Talent Through Sports Competition and Tournaments

Sports play a vital role in building confidence, teamwork, and discipline among youth. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to showcase their talent, regardless of their background. To foster this vision, trained sports teachers have been appointed, professional training programs are conducted, essential kits are provided, and large-scale tournaments are organized that bring communities together.

Training Programs to Build Future Champions

Dedicated sports teachers have been placed across several schools and community grounds to ensure consistent coaching and guidance. Young players receive structured training in both popular and traditional games, including:

  • Wrestling, cricket, badminton, and volleyball

  • Traditional sports such as lathi chalana and jodigada

  • Self-defense workshops for holistic growth and safety

Programs such as the 45-day training camp in Agar, Madhya Pradesh, and the 10-day facilitation program in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand have benefited hundreds of budding athletes, preparing them for district- and state-level competitions.

Sports Competitions: Bringing Villages Together

Tournaments have been organized that not only encourage participation but also build a sense of unity across regions. Highlights include:

  • A grand five-day cricket tournament in Chichlik, Sonbhadra (Uttar Pradesh) and Bhachau, Gujarat, engaging dozens of village teams.

  • A Kabaddi Championship in Nagpur (Dudha) and Tarsi, Maharashtra, where 32 teams participated, marking the biggest sports event ever witnessed in the village.

  • A Kabaddi tournament in Nagpur, Maharashtra, which saw 30 teams competing with full spirit.

  • Khel Mahotsavs in the Prime Minister’s adopted villages—Nagepur (Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh) and Bharukheera & Nokhda (Rajasthan)—introducing multiple sports to rural youth.

  • In Varsani (Gujarat), a 5-day Day-and-Night Volleyball Tournament became the first-ever inter-village championship, with 12 spirited teams competing under floodlights.

  • In Bhachau (Gujarat), several tournaments were even telecasted live on YouTube, extending participation to remote communities.

These events are more than competitions—they are festivals of sportsmanship, teamwork, and celebration of rural talent.

Sports Kit Facilitation & Infrastructure Support

To ensure no athlete is left behind due to lack of resources, sports kits, tracksuits, jerseys, and accessories have been distributed across states including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand. Thousands of beneficiaries have received the much-needed gear to train and perform confidently.

At the same time, sports grounds across multiple regions have been renovated and developed, ensuring continued access to safe and inclusive play areas.

Supporting Girls in Sports: Breaking Barriers

A strong emphasis has been placed on gender inclusivity in sports. One of the proudest initiatives has been sponsoring the Girls’ Cricket Team of Badnu (Bikaner, Rajasthan) for the last two years. This determined team has already made it to the district level and is now preparing to represent at the state level—a true testimony to the power of opportunity and perseverance.

Similarly, special tournaments such as the Girls’ Kabaddi in Madhya Pradesh have been platforms to encourage girls’ participation in sports.

Reviving Traditional Indian Games

We take pride in reviving and celebrating traditional Indian games. During a summer camp in Varanasi, youngsters and even 80-year-old veterans came together to showcase their skills in gada-jodi. Alongside this, lathi chalana was also promoted, keeping alive the cultural legacy of rural India.

Sponsorships & Recognition at Higher Levels

Beyond grassroots efforts, support has been extended to national and international players, providing them with coaches, uniforms, and financial assistance. This ensures that talented athletes receive the resources they need to shine on bigger platforms and make the country proud.

Through a holistic approach—training, competitions, kit distribution, ground development, revival of traditional games, and focused support for girls and professional athletes—sports are being promoted at every level.

What makes these achievements even more remarkable is that all of these activities have been carried out within the past one year alone. By nurturing grassroots talent and offering equal opportunities, these initiatives are not just building athletes—they are shaping confident individuals, stronger communities, and a healthier future for the nation.
