Yoga is an ancient practice that promotes overall well-being and vitality by uniting the mind, body, and spirit. Recognizing its immense benefits, Avaada Foundation organized a grand celebration of Yoga Day in adopted villages by our honourable Prime Minister. This incredible event aimed to revitalize the mind and body by introducing young minds to the transformative power of yoga and encouraging a healthier lifestyle for the entire community.
Avaada Foundation is well-known for its dedication to positively impacting individuals and communities. Our long-term initiatives are centred on education, healthcare, skill development, environmental protection, and infrastructure, all with the goal of empowering people to create a better future. In keeping with our commitment to community development, the foundation organized Yoga Day celebrations in five schools of Jayapur and Nagepur villages.
The event took place on 21st June at 6.30 am at these places –
- Government Girl’s Inter College Jakhni
- Government Inter College Jakhni
- Government Model Inter College Jakhni
- Government Malviya Inter College Sansapur
- Shivcharan Smarak Intermediate College Mehendiganj, Nagepur
The Yoga Day celebrations in these schools aimed to raise awareness of the numerous benefits of yoga practice while shedding light on our ongoing and future initiatives in these villages. The event drew approximately 4000 participants, all eager to experience the wonders of yoga.
Why is Yoga Day so significant?
The Yoga Day celebration provided a unique opportunity for people from various backgrounds to come together and learn about the profound benefits of yoga. The Foundation’s goal was to raise awareness about yoga’s transformative potential and promote its integration into daily life, with a focus on physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The programme included asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques that were tailored to individual needs such as physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional balance. The event was specifically aimed at the younger generation, with students from all five schools participating enthusiastically in yoga teachings and practises. They learned the importance of maintaining a healthy body and a calm mind through interactive sessions and demonstrations, fostering self-confidence and empowerment to prioritise their own health.
Conclusion
Avaada Foundation is actively involved in several development projects in Jayapur and Nagepur for inclusive growth and community development. Our team has initiated activities such as establishing power plants to ensure a consistent and reliable supply of electricity to the villages, running a stitching centre to empower women and a computer learning centre to equip the youths. The Foundation has contributed to education by renovating schools to provide a conducive learning environment for the students. We have given scholarships to 20 underprivileged and needy students in Jayapur and Nagepur so that they can pursue their education. Out of which we have sent two students to get IIT coaching in a prestigious coaching institute in Kota. Yoga Day celebration in the schools is a testament to the power of unity, well-being, and community development.
We hope the event will inspire people to embrace yoga as a holistic practice and recognize its potential for personal and societal growth. Let us all join hands to celebrate yoga’s revitalizing power and embark on a path to a healthier and more fulfilling life. Remember that the path to happiness begins within.
