For the past seven to eight years, Avaada Foundation has been actively promoting health, well-being, and holistic development by organizing and celebrating International Yoga Day across its project villages. Through these initiatives, we have engaged students, community members, teachers, and Avaada Foundation volunteers, till now around ten thousand , creating widespread awareness about the benefits of yoga and healthy living.
As part of our commitment to community development, we organized large-scale International Yoga Day celebrations in the Prime Minister-adopted villages of Jayapur and Nagepur. The celebrations took place across five educational institutions—Government Girl’s Inter College Jakhni, Government Inter College Jakhni, Government Model Inter College Jakhni, Government Malviya Inter College Sansapur, and Shivcharan Smarak Intermediate College Mehendiganj, Nagepur. These events brought together nearly 4,000 participants, who enthusiastically practiced yoga and learned about its role in improving physical fitness, mental well-being, concentration, and overall quality of life.
Beyond International Yoga Day, Avaada Foundation has integrated yoga into its regular community engagement programs. We conduct yoga sessions during Summer Camps, Holiday Camps, and Saturday No-Bag Day activities at our Community Development Centres and schools. Through these sessions, we encourage children and young people to adopt healthy habits, improve focus, manage stress, and develop a balanced lifestyle from an early age.
Our sustained efforts have helped make yoga an integral part of community life in many project locations. By introducing yoga as a tool for wellness, discipline, and self-care, we are empowering communities to prioritize both physical and mental health.
At Avaada Foundation, we believe that a healthy community is the foundation of sustainable development. Through our continued yoga and wellness initiatives, we remain committed to nurturing healthier, happier, and more resilient communities.
