At Avaada Foundation, sustainability is not just a responsibility—it is a way of life. Environment stands as one of our core focus areas, guiding a range of impactful initiatives under our sustainable environmental programs. Among these, tree plantation forms a key pillar of our commitment to restoring ecological balance and nurturing a greener future.
Sustainable Plantation for Lasting Impact
Our plantation drives are designed with a long-term ecological vision. By preserving soil health, sequestering carbon, and supporting local biodiversity, these initiatives contribute meaningfully to environmental regeneration. Around our project boundaries, we develop green belts using carefully selected native species—including flowering trees, medicinal plants, herbs, and shrubs—that do not interfere with solar infrastructure.
To enhance ecological outcomes, Avaada adopts the Miyawaki method, enabling rapid growth of native species and the development of dense green canopies within a short time span. We consciously avoid pesticides, promote eco-friendly practices, and focus on species with high carbon sequestration potential, ensuring higher sapling survival rates and long-term environmental benefits.
- Own a Tree Initiative
Launched at Banda, Dhamangaon, and Pangaon, this initiative encourages employees to take ownership of over 5,000 fruit-bearing trees such as Mango, Orange, Sweet Lemon, Guava, and Lemon. Each tree is nurtured for three years, ensuring sustainability and community benefit. - Community Plantation Drives
Extending beyond project boundaries, these drives actively involve nearby villages. A notable example is Kuchor Village (Badanu Site, Bikaner, Rajasthan), where over 2,500 Khejri saplings were planted on community Gausala land—enhancing green cover while reinforcing socio-cultural and environmental values.
Plantation drives are also organized on special occasions such as World Environment Day, reaffirming our collective commitment to environmental conservation.
Alongside plantation efforts, Avaada actively promotes environmental awareness through celebrations of World Environment Day, Earth Day, World Water Day, and World Ozone Day. These programs engage employees and local communities
