At a time when Indian women’s cricket is inspiring millions, Avaada Foundation is proud to nurture the next generation of champions from rural India through its sports development and girls’ empowerment initiatives.
In November 2025, Avaada Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support and sponsor the Rajasthan State-Level Under-17 and Under-19 Girls’ Cricket Teams from Mahatma Gandhi Government School, Badnu, Bikaner, for the next two years. Having already supported these teams over the past year, this formal partnership strengthens our commitment to nurturing rural sports talent. The MoU was signed by Avaada Foundation’s Director & CSR Head, Mrs. Ritu Patwari, along with the Foundation team, the parents of the players, and the village head, reaffirming a shared commitment to empowering young girls through sports.
Removing Barriers, Creating Opportunities
To ensure the girls can focus entirely on their game, Avaada Foundation is bearing all major expenses, including:
- Travel and transportation for matches and tournaments
- Food and nutrition during training and competitions
- Sports kits, shoes, and equipment
- Match and tournament fees
- Sports ground and practice facility expenses
- Logistics and study material

Rising Through Performance
The impact of this support is already visible.
The Under-17 team, the current Rajasthan State Champion, won the 69th State-Level Cricket Tournament and represented Rajasthan at the National Championship in Telangana. The Under-19 team, the state runners-up, also qualified for the National Championship in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh.
Additionally, five girls have been selected as net bowlers for the Delhi Capitals Women’s Premier League (WPL) team, while three girls have represented at the national level, demonstrating the remarkable talent emerging from rural Rajasthan. From the team, Sarita and Kanchan earned national selection twice, reflecting their exceptional consistency and dedication. Adding to these accomplishments, Sangeeta secured a Bronze Medal and Kanchan won a Silver Medal at the national level, bringing immense pride to their community and demonstrating how sustained support, training, and opportunity can transform rural talent into sporting excellence.
