For the past three years, Avaada Foundation has been creating a holistic development ecosystem in Dudha, Tarsi, Dhawalpeth and nearby villages around Avaada’s Butibori Manufacturing Plant—where access to quality education, skills, healthcare and opportunities is translating into measurable change.
In Dudha and Dhawalpeth, renovated Model Schools, trained educators, Smart Boards, libraries, bridge-learning programmes and zero-fee coaching are helping government-school children access learning opportunities comparable to better-resourced schools. Student retention has improved by up to 30%, enrolment by around 40%, while students who earlier scored 40–50% are now achieving 80% and above. Children who once considered leaving education after Class 8 are continuing their schooling with greater confidence and aspiration.
Avaada Community Development Centres further strengthen this learning ecosystem through subject-specific tuition, doubt-solving classes, computer education, coding, AI and job-readiness training. Educational visits, summer and holiday camps, sports and creative learning are helping children look beyond textbooks and imagine wider possibilities for their future.
Perhaps the most powerful transformation is among young women. Ten students, including seven girls, received 100% scholarships for the two-year ITI Electrician course. Seven girls who were once largely confined to their homes are now just months away from becoming trained electricians—challenging traditional boundaries and moving towards financial independence.
Our Annual 5 days and night Kabaddi tournaments in Dudha and Tarsi have engaged more than 3,000 young people, while developed sports grounds have expanded access to structured sports for around 2,700 youth. Daily yoga, cultural celebrations and awareness programmes strengthen confidence, teamwork and community participation. Social-security camps have supported over 300 people, facilitating 285 Ayushman Cards and 24 e-Shram Cards.
Educational visits to Dongla Planetarium, Ujjain and Raman Science Centre, Nagpur, together with science lectures, healthy-eating sessions and interactive workshops, have expanded learning beyond textbooks. Over three years, our annual Summer and regular Holiday Camps have engaged more than 4,300 children through sports, Olympiads, art, storytelling, public speaking and creative learning. Dental-awareness programmes have also reached over 250 children and community members, encouraging better oral-hygiene practices.
Avaada Navkiran Stitching Centres are similarly enabling women to gain advanced skills, sell their products and become first-time earners in their families. The impact is also generating opportunities within the villages themselves, with local youth employed as teachers, centre managers, computer educators and stitching trainers.
From healthcare, clean drinking water and menstrual health to sports engaging thousands of youth, the change goes beyond numbers. Children are staying in school, women are earning, youth are becoming skilled, and communities are increasingly shaping their own futures.
