Avaada Foundation recently hosted a vibrant cultural event and cricket tournament at Chichlik village in Sonbhadra, celebrating local talent, sportsmanship, and community unity. The event featured an exciting cricket tournament, with around 20 teams participating, and a cultural evening highlighted by a captivating folk music performance by Bollywood actor and Member of Parliament, Shri Ravi Kishan Ji. The event drew over 2,500 villagers, showcasing the strong sense of community.
The primary aim of the event was to encourage sportsmanship and camaraderie among the tribal youth. Avaada Foundation also distributed nearly 2,000 sarees and mosquito nets to the women in the village as part of its ongoing efforts to improve living conditions. Recognizing the need for better health, education, and nutrition, the Foundation is working to upgrade local facilities, including fogging to combat diseases, providing tablets to talented students, and offering uniforms, bags, and water bottles. The Foundation is also refurbishing schools, supporting teachers, and setting up computer coding and tuition centers for students.
In addition, Avaada Foundation continues to conduct general health check-ups and follow-up camps to ensure the well-being of villagers. The cultural evening, with performances from local artists and Shri Ravi Kishan’s soulful singing, made the event truly memorable.
Avaada Foundation’s commitment to uplifting communities extends across Chichlik, Khoraila, Argur, and Basuhari, where the Foundation has already made significant contributions to improve lives. The event further highlighted the Foundation’s dedication to empowering rural and tribal communities through education, health, and sustainable practices for a brighter, more prosperous future.
