The current situation in India and across the world is of grave concern and needs immediate action. Avaada Foundation is tirelessly working to build sustainable India. But at these testing times we need to contribute greater than any other time.

“Taking cognizance of ground reality, Avaada Foundation has decided to set up hospital and isolation beds in some identified areas. Avaada Foundation is in sync with district administration, local administration, Chief Minister’s Office and supporting them with their requirement. To fulfill the wide-ranging requirements under this project, Avaada is working closely with the CII Foundation. CII members too would be contributing to this project.”

Avaada Foundation so far has set up 4 COVID Isolation facility with approx. 300 beds capacity, provided three oxygen plants, Ventilator (BiPAP), Oxygen Concentrators, Oxygen Cylinders at different locations in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. We provided Food rations to 4000 households in state of Maharashtra in Mumbai, Amravati, Satara, Solapur, Buldhana Districts, 800 Households in Rajasthan’s Bikaner District, 1750 Households in Jayapur, Nagepur and Kakariya Villages of Varanasi Districts. In Gujrat 500 households were provided food rations in Talsana Village in Surendranagar. With our consistent effort towards helping the needful we even touched the lives of people in remotes villages of Uttarakhand where 1000 household were supplied.

Avaada Foundation takes a holistic view of its responsibility towards the society trying to touch as many groups as possible. We are distributing food rations to poor people and daily wage workers in Mumbai, Khamgaon (Maharashtra), SurendraNagar (Gujarat) & Bikaner (Rajasthan).

COVID-19 cases are rising rapidly across India – however, the impact is a lot more in rural areas as these areas have the weaker medical infrastructure and human capital required to manage critical patients. It is, therefore, necessary to identify COVID-19 positive patients early in their disease to avoid further infection and thus reduce pressure on the already stretched medical infrastructure. It is also imperative that COVID-19 positive patients are isolated. This will prevent the spread of the disease further. 85% of patients don’t require hospitalization and can be treated at home. However, it is challenging to isolate patients in tiny village homes, which don’t have dedicated washrooms/toilets used only by a patient.

Taking cognizance of ground reality, Avaada Foundation has decided to set up hospital and isolation beds in some identified areas. Avaada Foundation is in sync with district administration, local administration, Chief Minister’s Office and supporting them with their requirement. To fulfill the wide-ranging requirements under this project, Avaada is working closely with the CII Foundation. CII members too would be contributing to this project.

Avaada Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Avaada Group of companies, is engaged in social welfare activities - with a significant focus on child education, medical facilities in rural areas, skill development, women empowerment, and so on. Avaada Foundation firmly believes in the Indian philosophy, which says, “Every human being is indebted to his parents who raise him. He is obliged to his community and culture. He is obliged to the Gods and Sages. And he is obliged to nature at large, and our goal in life is to repay this debt in a lifetime. With all good KARMA - we can repay all our debts and get Nirvana!”. In trying times like these, our purpose and values matter a lot to the people and communities we serve, and we must consider fortunate to be able to serve them selflessly.
