As part of this campaign, we organized competitions focused on drawing and rangoli, providing participants with the opportunity to showcase their creativity and unique talents. The event witnessed a remarkable display of artistic skills, and participants were evaluated on the spot by a panel of judges. The winners, those who exhibited exceptional talent and creativity, were duly recognized and awarded, not only as a testament to their artistic abilities but also as an encouragement for them to further explore and nurture their talents.

The "School Chalo" campaign was launched in 2015, leading to a significant increase in student enrollment, from 150 to 250. The foundation has contributed to foundational development by establishing a sports field on the school campus, providing water and handwashing facilities, and installing a solar plant for improved educational amenities. This collaboration with Avaada has directly benefited 250 students and signifies a positive shift in the quality of education in Jayapur.

Cyber Security Workshop:

This initiative aims to bridge the gap and provide girls in the village with access to higher education. Smart Board installation and furniture at Govt. Schools:

Navkiran Stitching Centre:

This center is more than just a space for honing stitching skills; it symbolizes economic independence and community resilience. By imparting valuable stitching skills to over 500 young women, the center not only enhances employability but also fosters a sense of entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency. Through the art of stitching, these individuals are not just creating fabric masterpieces; they are weaving their own stories of empowerment and financial autonomy. Navkiran Beautician Centre

Avaada Foundation has provided three months of beautician training to 60 women. These women have not only completed their training but have also received certification from Avaada Foundation. Following their beautician training, approximately 5 women have opened their beautician centres in and around their villages, contributing to their income. Additionally, around 20 women are earning money by adorning brides at wedding ceremonies. This initiative has not only empowered these women to earn an income but has also boosted their self-confidence and enhanced their standing in both their homes and society. The ability to generate income has allowed these women to financially support their families and contribute positively to their households and communities.

Generating Jobs for Youth:

Avaada Foundation has played a pivotal role in fostering economic growth by generating jobs for local village youths. This impactful initiative not only addresses unemployment but also contributes to the overall development of the community. Avaada Foundation has been consistently organizing job fairs in the village of Jayapur, providing employment opportunities for the youth. Approximately 1200 people registered for the job fair, with 250 youths successfully securing employment opportunities. Another job fair is scheduled for March this year, to integrate around 300 more youths into the workforce. HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT
Health

Healthy Baby Competition:

In this program, we organized a friendly competition to celebrate and acknowledge the efforts of mothers in nurturing the health of their infants. Expert doctors conducted thorough examinations of the babies, providing valuable insights and medical assistance to both mothers and infants. The initiative aimed not only to identify the healthiest babies but also to educate and support mothers in ensuring the optimal growth and development of their little ones. Food Distribution:

In a recent initiative, the foundation distributed ration and food packets, providing essential sustenance during challenging times. Going beyond a one-time effort, Avaada Foundation has committed to ongoing support, now regularly assisting families with monthly ration and food supplies. Tree Plantation:

In Jayapur, Avaada Foundation is consistently initiating awareness programs and tree-planting campaigns for environmental conservation, aiming to keep the village lush and green. Every year, tree planting is undertaken in public spaces such as schools, panchayat buildings, and anganwadi centers, as well as along the roadsides, contributing to the greenery and overall environmental preservation of the village. Simultaneously, efforts are made to raise awareness among the villagers about the importance of environmental conservation. These initiatives reflect Avaada Foundation's dedication to fostering a sustainable and eco-friendly environment in the village of Jayapur.

Awareness Sessions:

Avaada Foundation conducts periodic awareness programs in the village of Jayapur, focusing on issues such as sanitation and health. The foundation encourages households to use in-house toilets and educates them about the health hazards associated with open defecation in fields. Initially, only 30% of the population used toilets, but with Avaada's awareness efforts, this has increased to 95% The cleanliness awareness program has reached approximately 2000 villagers, fostering a significant behavioral change.

Additionally, awareness programs on leprosy and tuberculosis (T.B.) have been conducted, involving active participation from the villagers of Jayapur and Nagepur. Through these programs, the community has gained valuable insights, and villagers have pledged to support and assist those affected by these diseases, contributing to the eradication of these health issues. The programs have successfully enlightened around 500 individuals on these critical health matters.

Rural Electrification:

The transformation in Jayapur is remarkable with the installation of two 25 KV solar plants, providing households with 12 hours of sustainable power each day. The success of this initiative is rooted in the active involvement of the local community, ensuring the model's sustainability and self-sufficiency. Urja Samitis, consisting of 7 village representatives, play a crucial role in overseeing the smooth operation of both power plants. Following comprehensive training, a team of village youth, serving as technicians and security guards, is now well-equipped to handle the seamless operation and maintenance of the twin projects. The introduction of LED lights has liberated children from the dim glow of kerosene lamps, enhancing their study environment. Families now enjoy more quality time together, fostering stronger bonds, and communities can engage socially in public spaces long after sunset. Beyond the immediate benefits, electrification has extended the productivity hours for home businesses, contributing to the overall progress and development of Jayapur. Although strides have been made in improving access to electricity and clean fuel in India, there is still work to be done to ensure universal access, recognizing the pivotal role electricity plays in fostering innovation, progress, and overall quality of life.

Community Playground in Nagepur

Avaada Foundation has made a significant contribution to the community by developing a sports ground on Gram Panchayat Land, with meticulous attention to detail in its construction and design. The sports ground spans an impressive size, measuring 81.50 meters by 111.50 meters in length and 57.50 meters by 47 meters in width. This expansive area includes comprehensive renovations and construction work, such as boundary fencing around the entire ground, the planting of 110 trees along the fencing line, the installation of 110 boundary poles, a well-laid running track, soil filling, and the addition of five RCC benches for seating.

To maximize the benefits of this facility, Avaada Foundation has appointed a sports teacher to promote and facilitate sports activities at the rural level. The creation of this sports ground not only offers a designated area for physical activities but also brings a wealth of benefits to the village community. It encourages a healthy lifestyle, fosters community spirit, and provides a nurturing environment for developing sports talents.

Other Initiatives

Avaada has undertaken a noble initiative to assist the flood-affected people in the villages surrounding Jayapur by organizing camps for distributing medicines and fruits. Through this effort, direct help has been extended to approximately 500 individuals, providing them with essential relief.

Furthermore, during the festival of Makar Sankranti, Avaada annually distributes blankets to the underprivileged and needy individuals in villages like Jayapur, Nagpur, and Kakarahiya. Receiving these blankets, the rural populace expresses immense joy. The Village Head has extended gratitude to Avaada Group for this commendable initiative.

Ram Narayan:

Ram Narayan's journey in Jayapur is a testament to resilience and compassionate intervention. Despite facing physical challenges that include abnormalities in mental condition, weakness in neck muscles, and lack of control over crossed legs, Ram Narayan navigates his daily life with remarkable determination. Born into a family grappling with poverty, where his parents earn their livelihood through daily wage labor and farming, Ram Narayan's care primarily falls on the shoulders of his grandmother.

Recognizing the need for support, Avaada Foundation stepped in to make a difference. Transporting him to a nearby physiotherapy center for a thorough examination, our commitment to his well-being became evident. Despite initial prognosis indicating limited chances of improvement, we embarked on a physiotherapy journey that yielded positive results. Notable enhancements in both his leg and neck muscles have been observed, bringing a glimmer of hope for the possibility of independent walking in the future.

While the road to complete recovery may be challenging, the optimism of the overseeing doctors and the progress witnessed so far instill confidence. Avaada Foundation remains resolute in its commitment to supporting Ram Narayan throughout his journey, monitoring his progress closely and exploring every avenue to ensure his overall well-being.
